
Abbey Library
The west wing of the abbey, where the famous Baroque Hall lies, was built in 1758/59 under plans by Peter (father) and Peter Franz Xaver Thumb (son). The Hall counts as one of the most beautiful in the area of Lake Constance. It possesses a remarkable radiance: The Library, including the Hall and the expositions within, attract over 120’000 visitors each year, making it one of the most popular museums in Switzerland.
