Open Cheese Factory in Stein
On the visitors’ gallery you watch as they make the Appenzeller Cheese. You will see the 6'500-Liter-Cheesebowl, where the milk is beeing editet and the cheese harp cuts through the gelatinous mass. Impressive is the view of the 12'500 Cheese loafs, regularly being taken care of the roboter.
In the middle of the magnificent hilly countryside, in the village of Stein, just besides the Cheese factory lies the Museum, which mainly focuses on the culture of the local Shepherds and the textile cottage industry. Dry matter? Not at all!
